With a multitude of applications, these fridges give you the freedom to place them wherever is most convenient for you. Whether it's in the kitchen, basement, garage or man cave, all you need is an outlet and your favorite drinks. Beverage centers are also commonly used for commercial purposes, such as in convenience stores for retail sales, in a salon to offer customers a drink while they’re waiting or in an office reception area.
How You Will Benefit From a Freestanding Beverage Fridge
Let's face it, most of us have very limited space in our refrigerators. With large food containers, condiments and leftovers taking up prime real estate, where do you put all your beloved drinks? A beverage refrigerator is an ideal solution to relocating bulky six packs, large bottles or odd shaped cartons. Having a dedicated space to store your beverages will free up space in your main fridge to provide an organized, convenient spot for all your favorite drinks. With no crisper trays for vegetables or separate compartments for meat, the interior layout is specifically designed for beverage containers of all sizes.
Beverage refrigerators offer a variety of benefits from customization, to ease of convenience, providing organization or just impressing your guests. Most homeowners don’t have a specific room in their residence to set aside just for entertaining. Having a space where you can host guests, dinner parties, or celebrate other events is something special, something memorable. Adding a beverage refrigerator to your home can significantly up the wow factor and instantly make you the envy of your friends.
Finding the Best Beverage Center For You
Customized to fit your specific needs, a freestanding beverage refrigerator gives you a wide variety of options, finishes and capacities to choose from. For a smaller beverage storage solution, start with one of our 62-can units. If you require a larger capacity fridge check out some of our higher quantity beverage refrigerators that can hold up to 206 cans. Door finish options allow you to show off your prized beverages with a stylish glass door or keep it clean with a solid door look. Included adjustable shelving accommodate a variety of bottle, can and container sizes to maximize every interior inch. The option to switch door orientation on most units allow you to choose which way the door opens to help flow with other furniture within the space. Wide ranging thermostats keep your beer, wine, soda, or water chilled to perfection set to your preferred temperature.
Freestanding beverage centers are intended to be used as a stand-alone unit, open into the room’s environment. With freestanding appliances, they should not have any obstructions around the cabinet. It requires a minimum clearance of two to three inches on each side of the unit to properly dissipate heat since it does not front vent like a built-in unit. For flush mount built-in applications, we offer fully built-in capable units that do not require any additional clearance.
With so many features and benefits, purchasing a beverage refrigerator is a great investment. We only carry the leading manufacturers of beverage refrigerators, including Edgestar, Summit, Avanti and Danby, so you can rest assured that you're getting a fridge that will keep your beverages cold for many years to come.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
