4 Gift Ideas to Get You Started
Finding the best gift for a special someone may seem difficult at times, but when it comes to wine gifts you have lots of options to choose from. This is especially true when you're budget grows larger. To help you find the best gift possible, we wanted to get you started with a few gift ideas that we know are popular among wine lovers. Below are five suggestions on possible gifts that we guarantee will put a smile on the recipient's face.
1. Small Wine Coolers
If you are looking for a gift for a friend who enjoys well-chilled wine, then you may want to look into one of our wine refrigerators. You have hundreds of options to choose from, including some that can be built-in or include a beverage fridge. But to keep you within your budget of $200, we would suggest looking at a small wine cooler. These range from compact, portable wine fridges that will cool a single bottle and sit right on your countertop to full wine refrigerators that can store 12 bottles or more.
Do they like both red and white wines? Because the optimal serving temperatures are different for reds and whites, it may make sense to get a dual zone wine cooler. These units provide the ability to set up temperature zones and eliminate the need for multiple refrigerators. That is, of course, if their wine collection isn’t a bit more extensive. Dual zone fridges cost a little more but it’s worth it for the right person.
2. Wine Racks & Cabinets
Another popular gift idea is a decorative wine rack or wine cabinet. Designed to be functional decor, a rack or cabinet provides the optimal storage environment for wine while allowing your recipient to display it proudly. Available in either metal or wood, you have thousands of stylish options to choose from. Whether your special someone needs to store as few as 4 bottles or as many at 18, you are sure to find the right wine storage option that allows them to proudly display their collection.
Many wine cabinets come with an added bonus of a drawer or slot that allows you to keep other wine accessories close by for immediate use. You know, for those wine emergencies. Might as well get one for yourself while you're here..
3. Wine Glasses
When it comes time to truly enjoy your favorite vintage, it is important to choose glassware that suits the wine and your style. We carry a wide variety of stemware that will suit just about any occasion and sure to impress even the most finicky connoisseur. You can find well known glass makers, such as Riedel and Schott Zwiesel, with sets that fit into your $200 budget.

General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
