Mid-Sized Wine Coolers: Perfect for Growing Wine Collections
A mid-sized wine cooler is one of the most popular sizes among wine enthusiasts. They are large enough to store a growing wine collection, yet still small enough to not take up too much space in your home. The perfect compromise for the majority of homeowners.
The definition of "mid-size" is a little difficult to define in the world of wine coolers. Obviously, a mid-size unit will include anything bigger than a small wine cooler that stores less than 25 bottles, yet more compact than a large wine fridge that holds over 200 bottles. In the mid-size category, you will find a wide range of storage capacities,. This spectrum can range from as little as 25 bottles to over 200 bottles. On this page, we are only highlighting wine coolers designed to store 38 - 66 bottles.
How You Will Benefit from a Mid-Size Wine Cooler
As a budding or established wine connoisseur, you may already be using a wine rack. These are a great way to store wine, as long as the room they are stored in has the right temperature, humidity levels and light requirements, such as the case in a wine cellar. However, most homeowners don't have a wine cellar in their home, or even a room that gives you this level of climate control. This is precisely why a wine cooler is the perfect alternative for storing wine.
A wine fridge not only helps your wine age appropriately, but it also keeps your collection organized and stored at the perfect serving temperature. This makes it easier for you to find the wine you're looking for, and always keeps it ready to open. No more quick chilling or drinking it warm. You will always have it ready and will be able to experience the full flavor and aroma of your favorite wine. Which, after all, is the entire point of collecting fine wine in the first place.
Finding the Best Wine Fridge For You
No matter if you already have a large collection of wine or if your collection is starting to grow, we guarantee there is a wine refrigerator out there that will work for your home. The difficult part is deciding what size wine cooler is best for you. To help you narrow it down and find the best wine cooler, you first need to consider your intentions when it comes to collecting and storing wine. If you plan on building a large collection, then it would be wise to think ahead and buy a wine cooler with a large bottle capacity. If you only want to keep a few bottles close-by, then a smaller bottle capacity will likely be the better choice for you.
Mid-size units are the ideal size for most wine enthusiasts. There are many units available that can be built-in under your counters, as well as many freestanding units that can be placed wherever is most convenient for you. They are small enough that they aren't intrusive or take up too much space, but also large enough to accommodate a wide variety of wines. You even have an option to buy a dual wine and beverage fridge, so you can store both wine and other beverages at different temperatures for each.
No matter what size you are looking for, we have units available from every reputable wine cooler brand out there. General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
