Ductless wine cellar cooling units are an excellent way to control the temperature and humidity of your cellar or wine room with ease. Unlike other cooling units, ductless split-cooling systems do not require any ductwork for ventilation. This not only saves time on installation, but it saves you from having to pay for complex installations. For these reasons, ductless cooling units are becoming increasingly popular among wine collectors all over the world.
Why You Need a Ductless Cooling Unit
Developed to give you more control over the climate, wine cellar cooling units are a must-have for anybody with a dedicated wine room or cellar. Ductless cooling units are one of the most widely-used types of cooling units available.
This lack of reliance on duct-work is one of the cooling system’s primary selling points. Since there is no need for ventilation, the system can be installed in virtually any location with the help of a professional. There are numerous mounting possibilities and the cooling units come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you can easily find the perfect model for your wine room. The overwhelming majority of ductless cellar cooling units we offer are durable enough for indoor and outdoor installations. They also require less upkeep than other units while allowing you to leave complicated duct-work behind.
In terms of usability, ductless split cellar coolers have a variety of convenient features. They come equipped with electronic thermostats that display the current temperature and humidity level on a digital screen. This takes the guesswork out of having to estimate the temperature, so you can remain worry-free about the model’s accuracy. Your system can be programmed to emit an audible alarm in the event that the temperature or humidity deviates from its ideal level. Some even feature automatic defrost settings to keep user maintenance as minimal as possible. With a ductless cooling unit on your side, there is no need to worry about extreme temperature changes or outside contamination that may have a negative affect on the aging process of your wine collection.
In terms of operation, split cooling systems are some of the quietest on the market. These cooling units are devoid of the constant buzzing sound that accompanies the vast majority of large appliances and electronic devices. Many cellar systems also feature low-profile designs, enabling your unit to seamlessly fit in with the rest its surroundings without attracting noticeable attention. A split system’s quiet operation will impress even the most noise-sensitive enthusiast.
In addition to wine, ductless cellar cooling units provide favorable environments for storing other temperature-sensitive items. Meats, leather products, and cigars can all be preserved with a split cooling system. Much like wine, these delicate products require a consistent temperature and humidity level in order to remain in pristine condition. A ductless cooling unit can provide the best climate for your wine collection without the need for extensive duct-work.

General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
