Wine Chiller: The Must-Have Tool to Chill Your Wine Fast
In order to experience the full aroma and flavor of your favorite bottle of wine, it should be stored and served at a cool temperature. Wine chillers are a great way to ensure your wine is cooled down to its recommended serving temperature. Wine connoisseurs also agree that wine chillers can help to preserve your wine. Preservation is very important to maintain the quality and flavor of wine. Even though some people tend to drink their wine at room temperature, there are many benefits to chilling wine.
Finding the Best Wine Chiller for You
Chilling wine to the right temperature maximizes its flavor. A wine fridge is a great way to store your wine and keep it ready to open at the perfect serving temperature. But, if you don't have a wine fridge or need to chill your wine fast, then a wine chiller is the perfect tool for you. Room temperature is too warm for many wines and regular refrigeration is too cool, making a wine chiller an ideal solution for you. There are many types of wine chillers available to choose from.
Wine Chiller Sticks
A wine chiller stick can be inserted directly into the bottle, chilling it from the inside and ensuring the wine you pour is cooled down. This type of wine chiller is very convenient if you want to slowly finish off a bottle of wine while you lounge. They are compact devices that can be carried anywhere, which can be very useful when you’re dining out. Due to their affordable price and compact nature, chilling sticks are one of the most popular wine-related gifts out there.
Chilling carafes are great for cooling a single bottle of wine to its optimal serving temperature. They combine the convenience of cooling and decanting at the same time. Most are designed with a stainless steel ice chamber in the middle of the carafe that you fill with ice to cool down your wine and keep it chilled while you drink the bottle.
Rapid chillers are perfect for those times you just bought a bottle of wine from the store and want to quickly chill it to a more desirable temperature. Drinking it at room temperature is great, but quickly chilling it will give you a better tasting experience. Some rapid wine chillers take as little as 5 to 6 minutes to chill a bottle to the right temperature, and can be done with a simple touch of a button.
Some chillers are more traditional in appearance and function, such as an ice or wine bucket. Great for keeping a couple of bottles cooled down, a wine bucket is ideal for parties, large events or any celebration where you want to have multiple bottles of wine ready to drink. A wine bucket is an ideal solution for champagne or white wines.
Countertop Wine Chillers
Countertop chillers bring the perfect blend of style and function to any kitchen. Much like a small wine cooler, they allow you to save money, store your wine properly with minimal effort and always have a bottle ready to drink. A countertop wine chiller provides an environment that is free from movement and vibration, helping keep the sediment that has settled at the bottom of the bottles from being disturbed and from disrupting the natural aging process or affecting the quality of the wine itself. This type of wine chiller is great for parties or the avid wine drinker as most hold multiple bottles.
We carry a wide assortment of wine chillers all designed to quickly chill your favorite bottle. Whether you're looking for portability, compact design, storage or something else, we are confident you will find the best wine chiller at the right price.
General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
