Wooden Wine Racks: The Most Popular Type of Wine Rack
Like many other modernized pieces of furniture, wooden wine racks have not changed much over time. Whether you have a few bottles of wine or a large collection that you plan to age, you will find a wide selection of wooden wine racks that will help you safely store your wine.
Designed to easily integrate into the decor of your home, we feature a large assortment of wood racks that come in many finishes, colors and structural styles. From wall-mounted to hanging racks, our selection includes just about every style you can think of from the most reputable brands in the industry.
Why You Should Buy a Wood Wine Rack
How you store your wine plays a crucial role in how that wine ages. If you store it upright, you risk the cork drying out, cracking and allowing oxygen into the bottle, which will oxidize the wine inside. If you store it in an area that is too hot or cold, you run the risk of altering the overall flavor and bouquet of the wine. Wine racks are one of the best ways to store your wine, as you can store your wine horizontally and keep your collection in a temperature-controlled area.
The Benefits of Wooden Wine Racks
The primary benefit of wooden wine racks is that they are known as a durable, long-lasting solution to storage that does not require the dark, humid caverns of an underground cellar. In some cases, antique wooden racks have lasted for years without so much as a single scratch. Common types of wood used for these types of racks include pine, oak and cedar, each of which has a reputation for strength and solidity. Our selection of wine racks, including those from popular brands like Winsome and Vinotemp, continue this tradition with a reputation to safely age even the largest of collections.
Another benefit of wood wine racks is that they are naturally beautiful and sophisticated. Warm reflections of light collide with the bottles placed inside to create a pleasant medley of visual appeal. Wood can also be shaped and refinished to reflect a more modern set of standards, like a hardwood entertainment cart or a sleek wine tower. Even on its own, the subtle grains and hues of a stackable wooden crate system has the potential to enhance the atmosphere of the room. Wood wine rack styles can range from rustic wall-mounted storage to open concept wine cabinets, but the most important factor to consider is the number of bottles you would like to display and the complexity of the design. As a semi-permanent part of your decor, your decision carries a significant amount of weight in terms of aesthetics.
Finding the Best Wooden Wine Rack for You
The aesthetics appeal of any piece of furniture is always going to be a consideration, and wooden wine racks come in practically every color, shape and finish imaginable. Organize your wine collection with a simple wall-mounted rack or wow your guests with an impressive cascading design. General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
